The town is popularly called La Vila. In Spanish, the place's name is Villajoyosa, and in Valencian La Vila Joiosa. It is located 32 km northeast of the city of Alicante and is the capital of the region of Marina Baja. The municipality has 15 km of coast. From Alicante, this town is accessed by the AP-7 or the N-332. From Valencia, you can also access the AP-7 or the N-332 from the north.
The Metropolitan TRAM of Alicante (former Trenet de la Marina) that leads from Alicante to Denia has five stops in Villajoyosa: Paradís, La Vila Joiosa, Creueta, Costera Pastor, and Hospital Vila.
Orcheta (in Valencian and officially, Orxeta) has a mountainous relief, rugged by the mountains of Orcheta and Relleu; between both runs the river Sella and the river Amadorio to form the swamp of the same name, on the border with the municipality of Villajoyosa. From Alicante, this town is accessed by the AP-7 or the N-332 taking then the CV-770 at the height of Villajoyosa.
Finestrat is only 8 minutes from Benidorm and 50kilometerss from Alicante-Elche airport. Byroada,d it is accessed through the AP-7 motorway exitss 65-A. From there, a good local road connects with the town in a few minutes. It can also be accessed directly from the national N-332.In its municipal district is the mythical mountain of Puig Campana, whose peak reaches 1410 m. The theme park of Terra Mitica also occupies part of the 42.25 km² of the municipality.
La Nucía is located in a valley of fruit trees between Polop de la Marina, Benidorm and Callosa de Ensarriá 3 km from the coast of Altea. The urban area is located on a promontory overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, 51 km north of Alicante and 8 km north of Benidorm.
The territory of this barony, nestled in the region La Marina, extends from the rivers Guadalest and Algar to the municipality of Villajoyosa, comprising the beaches of Albir and Benidorm; inland bordered with Callosa and Guadalest. It is a rough and rocky mountain range, of steep slopes, covered with long courts and formidable boulders and walls. It is massif oriented from east to west. The Umbria is populated by pine and carrascas and maintains continuity with the Puig Campana mountain range.
From Alicante, this town is accessed by the AP-7 or the N-332 taking then the CV-70 at the height of Benidorm.
The town of Altea is located on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula, north of the region of Marina Baja. It is located on the Mediterranean coast of the bay of Altea, south of Calpe and north of Alfaz del Pi. Altea maintains closer contact with Alfaz del Pi, La Nucía, and Callosa de Ensarriá since in its northern part is the Bernia mountain range that serves as a natural barrier, as well as a border between the regions of Marina Baja and Alta.
